For my birthday, I went to Copra where I loved the dosa, fried chicken, shrimp, and chicken curry.
A great way to spend the Fourth of July and my birthday weekend: at HK Lounge Bistro with some of their popular small dishes and lobster noodles.
When I have a craving for Cobb salad, I always head to Original Joes in Westlake.
Dalida offers a spectacular 5-course chef’s menu for $85 that includes thinly sliced octopus that looks like a mosaic on a plate, many small tastes, pasta and pork shoulder. Chefs Laura and Sayat Ozyilmaz’s offerings make for a full house every night!
I’m in Chicago for the James Beard awards and the one dinner I couldn’t miss was at Monteverde. Every dish is fully realized, and you can watch them make pasta throughout the evening.
Last night, I enjoyed the five course collaborative menu ($115) prepared by David Nayfeld and Jason Halverson to benefit @sproutscheftraining. This is a third dinner in the series where all the profits go to the charity. Next up is Azalina’s on June 27 and Ernest on August 1. I’ve signed up for both on OpenTable!
I’m back from a 4 1/2 month world cruise and the first place I went to was 7 Adams for the well-priced five course menu for $87. The food created by David Fisher and Serena Chow Fisher is a reminder of why I love San Francisco. The food was amazing!
I joined friends at Sumibi Yakiniku Nakahara for a stunning array of grilled Wagyu
After arriving in Tokyo, I had to check out A16, and discovered it replicates the San Francisco restaurant perfectly: margarita pizza, arugula, salad, and pork meatballs. Afterwards friends took me on a tour of the city which included several Japanese restaurants.
