Recommended bowl: Double soup

New-school style shop serving a nice umami packed double soup of animal bone mixed with gyokai (seafood) soup. The animal soup contains a broth of chicken bones, whole chickens and pork bones simmered for ten hours. The gyokai soup consists of niboshi and other dried fish. The ramen soup is served slightly fishier than the tsukemen soup. Although both are good, the tsukemen is the way to go. Different noodles come with the bowls, supplied by Asakusa Kaikarō. Great lunch at @palmirabbq with @talesfromthepits and @zavalasbarbecue. Whole hog, sofrito sausage, beef cheeks, barbacoa-topped tostadas, and ribs with collards and those splendid Puerto Rican beans. The hash and rice was particularly savory and delicious today.

Lunch at @hawksmoorrestaurants

I can't believe this is my first time at Hawksmoor! Definitely wouldn't be my last. The food and service was excellent, and their all day set menu is incredible, 1 course £19, 2 courses £23 and 3 courses just £29. You can't beat that! I'd definitely recommend the potted beef and bacon with Yorkshire puddings and the big Matt burger with beef fat chips. Desserts were amazing too.

Lunch at @myma_restaurant

Wow, this Japanese restaurant in Canning Town is outstanding. First of all, order a cocktail, there the best I've had in any restaurant in London. Order some sushi, i recommend the tempura Prawn roll, its my favourite. The chicken gyozas were extremely good, tempura softshell crab was delicious. And the katsu curry with crispy chicken, one of the best I've had in town. I'd 100% recommend this place, so worth the trip
