Day 2 of my Best of Spain Tour took us to ⭐️⭐️⭐️ @diverxo for lunch. I keep saying, with every visit here, that somehow @dabizdiverxo Dabiz seems to improve what appears to be already perfect. It is truly an incredible restaurant and definitely in my top 3 in the world. The creativity and imagination that goes into each dish is outstanding. Combinations that when you see them written down on paper you would think could never work but they invariably do. Pristine products, bold flavours anchored in Asia and South America and of course world class service from the team make this restaurant an absolute must visit for any dining enthusiast. I can’t wait to return soon.

Part of the Gonokami Seisakusho group which operates a handful of shops in Tokyo and a few overseas. The theme at all shops in the group is the prominent use of fish, most notably delectibles like shrimp, lobster and shellfish. The standard bowl at this branch is wholesome soup made from gindara (sablefish) and chicken, other popular options are available as well. The 'omāru ebi tomato tsukemen' comes in a rich soup comprised of vegetables and lobster heads imported from Canada. Early 2020, this shop has been run by manager Ishii-san, who splits his time between this shop and another popular one in the group, Gonokami Seisakujo in Shinjuku. Mrs. Grubber and I are deep into the rite of passage of getting old: 🏥 doctor’s appointments all over town. But when you’re the Grubbers, you turn 🍋 into 🍽️…sometimes dinner!

Had a delicious lunch at @haven_restaurant_ 😋 More bad photography 📷 by me, but as always, hungry boy is just looking for his placeholder for an infallible appraisal.

🥗 Mrs. Grubber had—guess what? I dare you! Yep, chicken Caesar salad! 🐔🥬 She was very happy with the dressing and impressed with the generous chicken portion. She doesn’t rank things, but clearly liked it better than most around town… and she’s had more than anyone!

🧡 As for me, I devoured roasted Bay of Fundy salmon with couscous 🐟🍚—so good! I assume the name comes from being in Brookhaven, just outside Chamblee.

💯 Very good place! Would definitely go back. 🍽️🔥
