- Krisna Bharvani added a new meal Dinner at New Bahru at ÁTIPICO | ROOM #15
I can’t remember the last time a cafe lunch left me thinking oooh I can’t wait to go back to try more of their dishes, but @atipicoroom15 in new bahru nailed it! the food is fresh and playful, and though the menu is tiny, there’s something for everyone- veggie, pescy, and carny. • smoked confit salmon ($36 sgd)
• rice arugula salad ($12 sgd)
• pumpkin ravioli ($34 sgd)
• japanese style greens ($15 sgd)
• black forest cake ($14 sgd)
pro tip: they’re still hunting for a barista, so the coffee’s not quite there yet ☕❌ #whatKBeats Less

- Krisna Bharvani added a new meal Dinner at Mohamad Sultan Road at bad habits.
my new neighbor? a grungy, hip-hopy, no-frills slice joint that serves 4 NY-style options: marg, salami, triple cheese, and garlic mushroom - all for about $8 each. I literally could not have asked for a better spot to move in next door @badhabitsprovision. the cherry on top? they serve their slices on paper plates, just like they do in NY... More

they’ve got a wood-fired oven, and the crust has a nice char to it. some days it’s a lil more crispy than foldable, but I’m good with it either way. they have a few sides on the menu too - fried chicken (it’s amazing, you have to order it) poutine (a bit too OTT for me, would skip), and meatballs (haven’t had em yet but the hubby said they’re bomb). they sometimes have a vegan slice option too - I tried the vegan kale & mushroom… and wow I actually really enjoyed it!
there’s minimal seating indoors but they’ve got a lil curbside outdoor space going on which gets pretty poppin. would say this is the perfect place to stop at on your way home to continue the party (it’s open until midnight & they serve booze too) or an afternoon snack if you’re in the hood like me 😉 Less

- Krisna Bharvani added a new meal Dinner at Ann Siang Hill at Jungle
new thai spot @jungle.thai at Ann Siang brings laid-back, late-night vibes with funky tunes and a small menu that skips the usual suspects (no krapao or pad thai here). they have a unique twist on their dishes, so don’t be looking for super authentic thai food here.

my top 3 dishes of the night:
- uni brioche toast, tamari, jalapeño ($18/pc). def punchy per piece but I’m a sucker for uniiiii & it was perfect
- mushrooms: morels, black trompettes, oyster, yolk ($35). a luscious umami flavor bomb
- lamb shoulder, radish, broccolini ($120). it’s huge so it’s a great sharing dish for the table, so beautifully braised
there were 3 somms roaming around the entire evening helping demystify their massive wine list - they currently carry around 400 labels but are looking to ⬆️. they were knowledgeable & helpful, recommending small-producers & natural wines that they actually know vs. just trying to make you spend more. I’ve truly missed this service element in my dining experiences in sg and this spot makes me hopeful that sg is on the up & up 🙏🏽. we had 3 mid-range bottles that were all delicious, memorable & with a lil funk.
this is the first time in a while that I can’t wait to go back to the same place in sg that’s not… din tai fung or akashi haha 🤣
