Casa Cicheti Singapore

lunch at the new @casacicheti in tiong bahru! the space is beautiful, bright, and has that cozy neighborhood charm.

we ordered quite a few dishes; some were hits, others disappointing. as a big fan of the restaurant group’s other spots, i expected more..but given how cute and cozy the place is—and the fact that i didn’t order their pizza (shocker, i know)—i’ll give it another shot!

what we ordered:
⚡️insalata della casa ($19): funny enough, we didn’t order this, but it came anyway. a fresh mixed green salad with parma ham, pear, roasted almonds, pecorino, and balsamic reduction. pretty tasty!
⚡️polpo ($48): spanish grilled octopus with chili oil and rocket salad. it was the daily special, perfectly cooked and tender; flavors were great but just a tad too salty.
⚡️tajarin ($30): so, tajarin is a piedmont classic with sage-infused butter sauce. i did not know that, oops! when the menu said “duck ragu and pecorino,” i thought i was getting a hearty, tomatoey ragu. while it wasn’t what i was expecting, it was actually really, really delicious.
⚡️branzino ($36): grilled local seabass with brown butter and bagna cauda. so good that i forgot to take a pic until we had already dug in!
⚡️tiramisu ($16): tbh, there was waayyy too much kahlua. when a misu’s ratio is off and it tastes too alcoholyy..i just can’t #whatKBeats
