felt transported to nyc at @bigwinefreaks.sg! the food, wine, vibe, service 🫶🏽 #whatKBeats

the food was stellar all-around, & I loved all their plateware! so cute, so fun! also enjoyed watching the chefs in action with their open kitchen concept.

my top 3 dishes of the night:
- uni brioche toast, tamari, jalapeño ($18/pc). def punchy per piece but I’m a sucker for uniiiii & it was perfect
- mushrooms: morels, black trompettes, oyster, yolk ($35). a luscious umami flavor bomb
- lamb shoulder, radish, broccolini ($120). it’s huge so it’s a great sharing dish for the table, so beautifully braised

there were 3 somms roaming around the entire evening helping demystify their massive wine list - they currently carry around 400 labels but are looking to ⬆️. they were knowledgeable & helpful, recommending small-producers & natural wines that they actually know vs. just trying to make you spend more. I’ve truly missed this service element in my dining experiences in sg and this spot makes me hopeful that sg is on the up & up 🙏🏽. we had 3 mid-range bottles that were all delicious, memorable & with a lil funk.

this is the first time in a while that I can’t wait to go back to the same place in sg that’s not… din tai fung or akashi haha 🤣
