This legendary ramen shop is located deep in the Kagoshima countryside, hours from any city. The true definition of a destination shop, it’s in the home of master Araki-san, who runs the shop along with his wife. The medium strength soup is made from pork and chicken bones, paired with noodles from Kirishima Seihō. But what makes this shop special is its famed use of almonds. Almond paste and almond oil go into the soup, and each bowl is also topped with crushed almonds. Eating this unique bowl while gazing out across the countryside makes for an unforgettable experience. 🌟 Stone House Tap in Milton (Crabapple 📍) got a shot from us this time! Here's the scoop:

🍽️ Food: Decent! A notch above average bar bites. 🌞 Atmosphere: Lovely deck—great for chill days with nice weather. 🍺 Beer Game: 24 taps, and about ¾ are legit craft brews. Pretty solid 🍻✨. 👥 Service: Yikes. They were severely understaffed. We heard almost every table asking about their orders ⌛—one family even commented, “It took much longer than expected.” Getting our check was an ordeal 🧾, but after asking twice, we finally managed.

💡 Early Yelp reviews mentioned confusing ordering; they apparently switched to table service. Unfortunately, it felt more like no service 😅 (Clark Howard reference, anyone?).

Bottom line? Above-average beer list ✅, bar food ✅, and nice deck ✅...but they’ve got work to do.

🔥 Pro Tip: Skip the hassle and head to Smoke on the Farm—just 400 feet away. Better food, better service, and many similar items 💯👌.

We visited them right after new years and they were missing some items we wanted to try but the ones we tried were good. Chicken chittinad was the only item we have feedback for. It was a lil undercooked and lacked flavor.

Bummer we only got to try the chicken tandoori from the sizzler menu. We will go back to try the brownie sizzler 🔥
