The OG dinner experience!
@takusteakhouse in KOP is bringing back so many memories for me! A few years ago Hibachi was a birthday tradition. But somehow it got ignored over the past years.
This gorgeous restaurant has more than just hibachi! We tried their sushi & crab Rangoons @nicollemoscol suggested the they were her favorite.
But my love for the land & Sea combo is undying!

Happy hour made easy with @1229shine ✨

I’m not usually a frozen drink person, but the Frozen Strawberry Cabana made me rethink that stance. Sweet, refreshing, and bright almost as if a strawberry-banana smoothie had been upgraded.

The Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks were gone embarrassingly fast. Creamy mozzarella, surimi crab, and scallions tucked inside panko crust, served with sweet chili sauce that pulled it all together.

The Asian Salad brought color and crunch with cabbage, carrot, red onion, crispy onion. I wanted more from the lime vinaigrette, perhaps a sesame ginger dressing would give it more depth.

The Smokehouse Mac featured cavatappi tangled in smoked cheddar and gouda, topped with smoked short rib and crispy onions. This is where 1229 Shine shines brightest: their smoked meats are their superpower, and it shows. Less

NHK「ステータス」の3本目のVTRで訪れたのがこちら。

シェフのエドアルド・ティッリは、1700年代の農家を改装した空間で、ジビエをはじめ多彩な肉を自在に操る。正肉だけでなく内臓に至るまで余すことなく使い切り、素材の生命を丸ごと料理へと昇華させる。

それはイタリア料理に古くから根付いた伝統でもあるが、ここでは発酵や熟成といった技法を駆使し、現代的でイノベーティブに表現している。

What an evening @canlisrestaurant !! A beautiful menu by newly named executive chef James Huffman conjured midsummer magic. Service is as sharp as ever. No detail was overlooked. Thank you @pepone86 @trailgrazer99, our server, Sophie, and the entire Canlis team.
