In the small town of Mierlo, Yuki Lee @i.am.yukyung and Koen van Weert have built something special, a restaurant with no investors, no media coverage, and a team of just four, including a crib in the kitchen for their newborn.

From a beetroot tartlet with cheese to lobster with a Korean gochugaru beurre blanc, every dish shows ambition, technique, and heart.

At €105 for the full menu, it’s absurd value for money, easily a 1-star level already.

จานที่ชอบที่สุดในมื้อนี้ต้องยกให้ Caviar Kristal, Sea Urchin, Potato ซุปครีมมันฝรั่งเนื้อเนียน ด้านล่างมีอูนิ ด้านบนท็อปด้วยคาเวียร์ แล้วมีซอสแชมเปญช่วยบาลานซ์ทุกอย่าง รสละมุนสุดๆ จานนี้ถือเป็นซิกเนเจอร์ของเชฟตั้งแต่สมัยอยู่ Le Normandie แล้ว และยังคงเป็นจานที่ใครมาก็ต้องลอง

ส่วนสายชีสบอกเลยว่าต้องปลื้ม เพราะที่นี่มีให้เลือกเยอะมาก (เดาว่าน่าจะเกือบ 20 แบบ) ซึ่งก็ไม่แปลกใจเพราะเชฟมาจากแถบที่ชีสคือของคู่บ้านคู่เมืองเค้า

ถ้าใครชอบอาหารฝรั่งเศสในบรรยากาศที่ทั้งโรแมนติกและอบอุ่นแบบไม่ต้องพยายาม ร้านนี้คือคำตอบเลยจริงๆ 😍

I went for the classic cheese burger, it was nicely charred but still really juicy, great flavour, super crispy fries. Incredible value for money in Soho! I'd definitely recommend it.

The $280 menu at Enclos in Sonoma starts dramatically with an infusion of melon and camomile quickly followed by four vibrant bites (including spiny lobster styled like a wreath). The menu builds from there: 11 squashes drizzled with olive oil, amberjack, clam chowder custard, a slab of 60-day dry aged tuna belly diced into tiny cubes, quail, beef and a pear dessert. Starting a new Mom & Pop restaurant series, and today I’m in Rosenberg, Texas at Witt Pit BBQ, a locally owned barbecue spot. This husband-and-wife–owned BBQ joint is tucked into a small house with cute, classic barbecue decor. Even though the owners weren’t onsite during my visit, the staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in.

I stepped out back to chat with the pitmaster on duty, who recommended the brisket and pork ribs. Witt Pit BBQ keeps things traditional with a simple salt-and-pepper rub. The pork ribs were the standout: tender, fall-off-the-bone, with an excellent barbecue sauce. I ordered moist brisket, which was solid, though I’ve had juicier brisket elsewhere. That said, the brisket sandwich looked amazing and is already on my list for next time.

Overall, this is a solid Mom & Pop barbecue spot in Rosenberg, Texas. If you’re nearby and want to support local, it’s worth a visit.
