気温より先に
桜海老が連れてくる

小さな体
透きとおっていて
触れたら消えてしまいそう

籠に入れられて
下は少しつぶれるから
上だけをすくう

そのやさしさが
味になる

油に落ちると
ジュッと鳴って
志村さんの手がひと回り

油がゆるく動いて
海みたいになる

桜海老が
その中で泳ぐ

ほんの一瞬
火は長くいらない

上げて
塩をひとつ

口に入れると
サクッときて
すぐに香りがひらく

あとから
やわらかい甘みが
静かにのぼってくる

朝のレタスで
包んで食べる

シャキッ
サクッ

水と油と
青さと香ばしさが
いっしょになる

気持ちいいなと思う

ほんの少しのあいだしか
食べられない味

だから
ちゃんと覚えている

これが
成生の春だと思う🌸

Was passing thru Roanoke yesterday and had to make a pit stop at @mamajeansbbq to check out the new digs. Love the bar (and the Dr. Pepper old fashioned), and fortunately I was not dining alone . . .

Everything is excellent but the standouts were the Oxacan cheese sausage and those incredible direct-heat ribs. FYI - Madison says that's a week's supply of wood . . .

Was super impressed by dinner Saturday night at @zynodoa in downtown Staunton, VA. Ingredients from tons of local producers plus Virginia wines and Virginia spirits in the cocktails, too. Highlights included Polyface Farms fried chicken with mustard greens, beef kefta kabobs, roasted and shaved golden beets with goat cheese mousse, chicken and lentil soup laced with bits of Edwards country ham, and splendid scallops with luxurious carrot soubise and pickled golden raisins.

Lunch at @canton_chinatownlondon

Showcasing their freshly-roasted duck and juicy pork belly in their window, it’s difficult to walk past Canton without being drawn closer by the scent of sweet and sticky barbecued meats.

Their simple offering is rough-around-the-edges, home-style Chinese barbecue, piled high on a plate. Hand-sliced noodles are just one of the traditional ways things are done here, as Canton flies the flag for the Chinese old school in a sea of modern restaurants.

The roasted meats were delicious, crispy pork belly, bbq pork and roasted duck with rice and pak choi. Its the perfect lunch for me! The chicken fried noodles were extremely good, nice prawn toast, pretty much standard. The dumplings were good definitely not the best in China town but still tasted great. So if you're looking for a proper old school chinese meal it's well worth a try

A landmark Cantonese restaurant in Leicester Square, has been serving authentic Dim Sum and Cantonese cuisine for over 45 years. Renowned for introducing Dim Sum to London in the 1977s, it remains a cornerstone of the city’s culinary scene.

This was my second visit, it gets better every time. I love a classic Chinatown restaurant, and this is one of the best. The dumplings are so good, and at lunch time you get a whole menu just for them. We went for the king prawn dumplings, really good, home made prawn toast, crispy duck pancakes and duck spring rolls to start. All delicious, especially the prawn toast! Next a king scallop with glass noodles. Excellent flavours, but maybe a little over cooked. For mains the classics, sweet and sour pork, egg fried rice and bean sprout noodles. All great. I'd definitely recommend this one

I really love this restaurant/bar, the stuff are so friendly, incredible cocktails and fantastic food.
I started with sear duck on toasted brioche and a truffle puree, very generous starter, and tasted great. Second course cacio e pepe pasta, absolutely delicious, one of the best I've had. Mains was a slow braised beef cheek, potato puree, kale and peppers. The meat was perfectly cooked, the potatoes were so smooth and rich with butter, and the braising sauce was incredible.
Finished up with a classic tiramisu which was perfect. Overall I had a fantastic experience and can't wait to return to check out the bar!!
