🥙🔥 Could this be one of the best Persian kebab spots in San Jose?
We checked out Taste of Persia, a small spot located on Tully Rd, and it definitely left an impression.

We tried the Kubideh kebabs with lavash and the Sultani plate, which comes with both ground kubideh and filet mignon kebab — served with rice and salad.
You can mix and match your combo with rice, bread, or salad, which is a nice touch.

🔥 Halal Indo-Chinese with a clean vibe — right here in Dublin, CA 🥢🍛

If you’re searching for a halal restaurant in the Bay Area that’s got solid food, a nice space to dine in, and stays open late — Inchin’s Bamboo Garden in Dublin is worth checking out.

🐓 While all Inchin’s Bamboo Garden locations are halal, the Dublin location has now officially switched to using fully hand-slaughtered meat.

Some of the items I really enjoyed:
• Beef Pepper Steak
• Chicken Manchurian
• Chicken 65 Fried Rice
• Korean Fried Chicken

Their non-alcoholic drinks are also a nice touch — the Strawberry Mojito was my personal favorite.
And for dessert, I’d go for the fried date wonton with ice cream — easily one of the best things on the menu.

An incredible dinner. Finally made it here and what a menu. So many of you said that I needed to eat here and very glad I did. Voted as one of the top 10 restaurants in the world, the focus here is on traditional Cantonese cuisine, but using carefully sourced, local ingredients of the highest quality. It’s a tasting menu but one where you are sent the options a few days before and then select what you feel like having. Love this kind of set up, although big food envy when you see other tables getting crazy looking dishes. The star of the show is hard to decide, there were a few, but the steamed flowery crab is a good place to start. One of The Chairman’s signatures. It’s prepared with 15-year aged shaoxing wine and chicken fat - giving the sauce the most incredible umami, depth and silky consistency. It’s served with flat rice noodles that are super wide, chewy and bouncy. Honestly the sauce was so buttery and addictive with the sweet crab tender crab- and those noodles were a delight. Beautiful. The thick cut char siu was the next showstopper, ultra marbled top blade, roasted over camphor wood for a sweet and Smokey bite. A texture akin to Wagyu - tender, juicy and with a lovely char. Loved the crispy taro cake with smoked duck too, but the barbecued lamb belly and abalone roll was the winner from the small plates. Like a Cantonese ‘pigs in blanket’s’ - spiced, well rendered and charred lamb belly on the outside, soft abalone in the centre - so beautifully made. A really creative menu. A Hidden Gem for Noodle Lovers!

Laksamania is a delightful spot for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Southeast Asian cuisine. The star of the menu is definitely the laksa – rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with spices. The broth is hearty and comforting, and the noodles are cooked to perfection. I also tried the Malaysian satay chicken and was impressed by the depth of flavour.
The spicy wasabi prawns were delicious, and here, crispy duck boa buns are extensively good

The ambience is cosy and inviting, and the staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of food.

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to experience a true taste of Malaysia in the city. Will definitely be coming back!

Vivid Bibim (@vivid_bibim), a new Korean restaurant in San Leandro, makes an enhanced version of a Korean classic rice dish, dolsot bibimbap.

It’s the best one restaurant critic Cesar Hernandez has tried.

“I like bibimbap. But I adore its dashing sibling: dolsot bibimbap. Prepared in a scorching hot stone pot, it improves on the classic Korean rice and veggie dish by giving rice the top billing. The grains slowly sear in oil against scalding rock, yielding a magical crust and unlocking flavors absent in a typical bibimbap,” Hernandez writes.
