Wanted to share some personal photos from my Top 50 Restaurants of Long Island search this year … 2025 is the third year I’ve worked on this list, and like usual I ate at dozens of contenders throughout the year. The photos you see here are places that ended up making the list after serious discussion with @mariesworldeats , @erica_marcus and @melireports. They were the obvious choices we didn’t have to fight about, lol.

My biggest goal this time was to diversify the list to include a wider selection of Central, South American and Caribbean cuisines. Because I definitely think this is one of New York’s greatest culinary strengths. Happy to get some Cuban, Dominican and Jamaican food on there!

@residenceatthepotter isn't doing things by the script.

Firstly, it's a restaurant within an art gallery at University of Melbourne.

And for something totally different, it's also rotating a new head chef and their restaurant concept through the kitchen every year.

First up is former Vue de Monde sous @chefrobbienoble with Cherrywood.

I'm in awe. What a brilliant show of cooking.

So many delicious, joyous things to eat and drink, and a true celebration of spring. Look at the asparagus!

1) My moment with the reimagined banoffee pie.
2) Abalone that's flabby like bacon swimming in chicken fat emulsion .
3) The banoffee pie!!
4) If spring were a dish.
5) Perfectly executed swordfish with cimi di rapa and clams. Wow what a dish
6) Wild garlic and goats cheese pancake
7) Potato stuffed sardines that are fried until snap crisp and the best bread and chicken broth you'll try
8) Art, but make it restaurant.

They also have a winery of the month, showing off some of the best latest and back vintage pours. This month it's @pyrenwine

Can we live without salt in our cooking? Does it enhance the experience, or should we let the produce shine sans seasoning?

At @sogumm_melbourne it's all or nothing.

Salt and alliums aren't used in some dishes to enhance the natural beauty of this style of Korean cooking.

You must try that raw wagyu beef bibimbap.

We didn’t know this place was halal and you NEED TO KNOW…I ain’t gatekeeping 😉
So many options to choose from but our favorites were the chicken dish and the chicken pad thai

It may seem a lil more expensive than other places, but it is one of the juiciest burgers in htown. Annnnd 100% GRASS FED 🔥
