March 9, 2025 A last minute change of flights afforded us the opportunity to dine again with @chef_ken_ichiro at Chateau Robuchon. One last fantastic meal and one final glimpse of Tokyo Tower 🗼 on our way to Haneda airport ✈️ for the 11pm flight back to JFK.

Dove @i.feel.dove by @jackson_boxer serves a genuinely unique burger. It’s so rich that you’ll want to share one between two. The beef patty was barely cooked and completely fell apart. Combine that with the Gorgonzola cheese and onions cooked in champagne and it’s a thrilling flavour combo that many restaurants in London are not bold enough to attempt. They only make 10 each service so arrive early to avoid disappointment. The fried potato pizzette with bonito, burata and mortadella is the other must order dish here. The ricotta dumplings were skippable and nothing special. Pork chop was very nice and the chips, like Orasay, were great. The iberiko tomatoes were also meh and skippable. Welcome back to Copenhagen Casuals, your guide to the best spots in the city. Today we’re at @masseriacph in the heart of the Meatpacking District, where southern Italy meets Vesterbronx.

The kitchen is led by @nicola_fanetti (remember @restaurantbrace ?)

I went for the seven course menu at 500kr and honestly, it overdelivered.

We began with antipasti: truffle cream and prosciutto, burrata with roasted peppers, tuna carpaccio in tomato juice.

Then came the dish of the night spaghetti with blue mussels, confit tomatoes and a beurre blanc. Just Wow, but listen why in the reel.

Masseria nails what casual Italian in Copenhagen should be; simple, soulful and full of flavor. And for the price? Tough to beat.

Located inside the Munich @lithaus , @brasserieoskarmaria might look like a place for book clubs and Bordeaux... but don’t be fooled. This is one of Munich’s best casual dining options.

And the star of the show?

A 48-hour braised lamb shank made with @gutshof_polting lamb, aka the gold standard of German lamb.
It’s the kind you’ll find at 3-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ @janhartwig_official and @essenz_edipsigl , and here you’re getting it for just 22€. Melt-off-the-bone tender with a deep intense flavor.

But there’s other stuff, think creamy asparagus soup, scallops with beurre blanc foam, and a crème brûlée that could fit in any Parisian bistro.
