I went to the one-day-only @cluckold_ pop-up at @elchingonphilly by legendary chef @andrechef7 right before it ended.

I got the mole fried chicken sandwich (which includes @elchingonphilly’s chef @jcarlosaparicio mole) and loved everything about it. Crispy, saucy, rich, and genuinely one of my favorite bites of the month.

Major shoutout to @andrechef7 for this one. I’m already excited for the next pop-up.

In a city with so many "me too" Steakhouses @mlopezlv and the team at @scotch80prime continue to blaze their own trail with dishes like the Ramen-inspired Scallops and Gnocchi with 'nduja and morels. Truly exceptional, as always, from beginning to end.

The longer I live in Las Vegas the more convinced I become that there really aren't any "destination" restaurants here. No matter what the influencers and PR people want to tell you the "best" spots in town are rarely the "best" and often are barely competent. One of the exceptions, however, is the Almond Croissant at Rosallie. In the decade since they opened on Rainbow I've yet to find a better one in the world, and if you know me you know I've done some research.

Kudos to Jonathan and Christophe for everything this is, from the butter and lamination to the ground almonds and lack of frangipane. 🥐 ✨
