This iconic ramen shop has 200+ locations in Japan and their signature bowl — Kotteri ramen — is famous for its unbelievably thick, rich chicken broth. It’s the kind of ramen that coats every noodle and feels like the ultimate comfort food.
Start with the Creamy Egg Potato Salad and asparagus tempura for the table. So good!
Then go all in on the Kotteri Max with pork & onions. The noodles are perfect and that broth… rich, creamy, and insanely satisfying. It’s one of those bowls you keep thinking about after you leave.

When I learned that Delfina was bringing back their roasted chicken with mushrooms and mashed potatoes for the fixed-price Restaurant Week menu ($60), I was there! This is a truly great dish and it has been off the menu since the restaurant’s remodel more than three years ago. An inviting, arched carriageway leads to this courtyard cafe and wine bar, attached to the Krewe eyewear store.

Surrounded by rooflines and plants and, as the sky darkens, the glowing windows above, it feels like that enchanting patio cafe discovered on a vacation overseas.

Chef Rob Tabone’s short menu is inventive and fresh, with poached shrimp over crisp radish and herbs, Moroccan-spiced meatballs and tinned sardine plates to build tasty bites. The wine list is full of interesting finds.

A really special night with @chefwonder and @mjnobello at @borobrine.

The dinner was built around Sheldon’s new cookbook, Ohana Style, a collection of Hawaiian-inspired recipes rooted in family, community, and the kind of cooking that brings people together. Every dish that night reflected exactly that.

The food was phenomenal from start to finish, and you could feel the love and intention behind every course.

If you haven’t picked up Ohana Style yet, go get it. And if you haven’t been to Boro Brine, make the trip. Both are very much worth it.
