Had a truly wonderful evening at the newishly opened @thirdfalcon_bk in Fort Greene.

The restaurant strikes that perfect balance—elegant but unfussy, refined yet deeply comforting. The menu is a love letter to Northern France, with a focus on pristine seafood, market-driven ingredients, and rich, layered flavors that feel both classic and fresh. Every dish was executed wonderfully, and the warm, inviting atmosphere made the experience even better.

It’s the kind of place where you lose track of time over great food, great wine, and great company. Already looking forward to the next visit!

I loved celebrating my birthday here last year, and my recent visit only reinforced why this place is so special. The food is bold, layered, and deeply flavorful—maybe it’s the magic of cooking over a wood fire, or maybe it’s just the care and passion that goes into every dish. Either way, I love this place so much!

If you can, grab a bar seat by the kitchen—you’ll get a front-row view of the action and every beautifully plated dish heading to the pass. If you haven’t been to Theodora yet, make it happen!

A true hidden gem and easily one of the most underrated spots in the city — @octo.nyc.

Ever since @jiho_kim_pastry introduced me to Octo in late 2023, it’s been my go-to for bringing chefs, out-of-town friends, and anyone who loves bold, flavor-packed Korean-Chinese food.

Chef Leon has crafted a menu full of standouts—dishes that have become instant staples—while still pushing boundaries with new creations inspired by his upbringing in South Korea.

If you haven’t been, this spot needs to be on your list. My must-orders: truffle steak jjangmyeon, Peking duck (regular or black truffle), cucumber radish salad, crispy shrimp sandwich, and glazed orange king prawns. Every dish is a hit!

“Howoo” translates to both “Good Meat” and “Rain Shower” in Korean — a name that reflects the sound of beef hitting the grill and the restaurant’s deep respect for quality and detail. Each cut is grilled tableside and served at its peak, with seasonal banchan, aged salts, and in-house milled rice rounding out the experience.

From A5 Miyazaki wagyu to galbi and naengmyeon made with lotus leaf noodles, this is KBBQ done with intention — rooted in tradition, refined for right now.

Born as a pop-up in the thick of the pandemic, Nudibranch has since found a permanent home—and a loyal following—by doing things differently. The menu draws from Korean and Spanish traditions, but it’s less about fusion and more about freedom: bold, unexpected flavors that tell a story of curiosity, collaboration, and the city’s ever-evolving food scene. It’s inventive without trying too hard—and genuinely fun to eat! They offer a prix-fixe option as well as an a la carte menu.
