🍽️ One standout is the house-smoked salmon, a delightful addition that wasn't on the menu under the previous owner, Todd Hogan as least as far as I recall. Served with spicy tarragon aioli and warm pita, it's a must-try appetizer that's quickly becoming a favorite.

🥨 And for those who love a classic, the beer pretzel remains a star, now even more indulgent with a buttery twist. The decadent mustard bacon horseradish sour cream elevates this pretzel and dip combo to unrivaled heights.

🥩 For weekend indulgence, the prime rib is a treat, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of flavor-packed fat. Seafood lovers, rejoice! The menu now boasts more seafood options than before.

🌊 Forsyth County continues to shine with one of the best American staple restaurants around. Todd Hogan's legacy of perfection is still felt, but Branchwater under Katy Curkendall is writing its own delicious chapter.

Korean meets Italian at @sono_nyc, and Sechul Yang has been building toward this his whole career.

Gramercy Tavern, Maialino, Oiji Mi, Ddobar. Over a decade of cooking in some of the best kitchens in New York before opening something of his own. The name means “I am” in Italian, and that’s exactly what this place is. His Korean upbringing, his Italian training, all of it on one menu.

Handmade pasta with fermented sauces. Rigatoni with guanciale and black bean. Bottarga with nori and pollock roe. Glad I got to shoot this one early. 📸

The fish pollichathu was the highlight of a recent lunch at the new @crown_of_spices in Levittown. The kitchen specializes in Southern Indian recipes from Tamil Nadu, and whoa!!!! I’ve been Googling all week to find more restaurants like this. I don’t want to give too much away but I’ll just say the one thing that got deleted from my blurb, holy schnikes!

I dunno if this has ever happened to you, but I went into a vintage store today to get a new pair of jeans, and I must have tried on eight different pairs before I realized nothing in the store was going to fit me. I left the place so frustrated that I decided to go to a barre class that evening. Which was great, but when I was leaving, a woman on the street asked me if I was having a girl. 😭 My barre studio is in Long Island City and after a workout, I always want some form of Chinese food that I can claim is healthy. So I stepped into @huponyc for some dry pot, and holy mother of everything that is good … This was the finest dry pot I’ve ever eaten in my life. The fish was so delicate, the mala flavor so dialed in. I know that dry pot is oily but I ordered it without rice. As a professional and passionate eater, I just have such a difficult time managing my weight. And I have no idea if this helped or not, but damn, did it freaking taste good. Less

Newsday published my article on @gasalongthai.ny in Great Neck, Long Island this week, and I’m saying now, this is one to watch. I just went for lunch by myself, but I left thinking I want to come back with more people and try more of the Northern Thai dishes from the menu. I was really impressed by the beautiful lanterns, sophisticated restaurant design and interesting dishes from Chiang Mai. It honestly reminded me of my brother’s old restaurant Glai Baan in Phoenix.
