Gnarly thick hand-cut noodles for this legit soupless Aburasoba at Men Kurai, mixed with a rich soy sauce-based seasoning and lard-based aroma oil. Thanks for the tip @ramenadventures @adleyzayan!

油そば / Aburasoba / Men Kurai (Cry) - Hamamatsuchō, Tokyo
Noodles with tare sauce, chashu and toppings. Soup served on the side. Noodles are homemade, hand-pounded, extra thick and chewy. The pork chashu is done tsurushiyaki style, hung up inside a smoker and smoked in-house. Oil and vinegar free condiments to add.
Men Cry is the 2nd brand of Chūka Soba Waka Tokyo, run by master Takahashi-san. 11 seats, open since February 2021.

Oh boy, oh boy! If you like your noodles on the wild side, Men Kurai is one you have to check out. Their soupless bowl is a mix of fat, garlic, and carbs in the form of the thickest hand-cut noodles this side of the Arakawa River.

醤油味玉ラーメン + ローストにんにく + 玉子かけご飯 / Shoyu Ajitama Ramen + Roast Ninniku + Tamago-kake Gohan / Men Kurai (Cry) - Hamamatsuchō, Tokyo
Soup is made from asari clams, kombu, chicken and pork. Shoyu tare contains shiro shoyu. No MSG. Extra thick noodles are house-made. The chashu is done tsurushiyaki style, hung up and smoked. The 2nd branch and concept of Chūka Soba Waka Tokyo, run by master Takahashi-san. Men Kurai open since February 2021.
