ワンタンメン / Wontonmen / Hitotsubashi Taishōken — Kodaira, Tokyo

Eifukucho Taishōken style ramen. Shoyu soup uses pork bones and niboshi with lard. Standard size comes with 1.5 portions of medium width chūka noodles. Topped with ajitama, pork shoulder loin chashu, menma, naruto, negi, wontons and yuzu.

The original master served ramen at this location for over 40 years before retiring and passing operations to the second generation. Nine seats. Open since 1969.

Recommended bowl: Nostalgic vibes

Originally opened in 1969, this shop has a direct connection to the legendary Eifukucho Taishōken. Clear soup is made from pork and niboshi, with scalding hot lard on top. Noodles are from Kusamura Seimen, same as Eifukucho Taishōken. The noodle portion is quite large; more than average at ramen shops in Japan. Regular bowls are served with approximately 300g of noodles. Soft and comforting, nostalgic Tokyo taste.
