半チャンつけ麺 / Han-chan Tsukemen / Maruchō - Miyahara, Saitama

Old school Tokyo style tsukemen. Dipping soup contains mostly chicken carcasses, along with shoyu tare. Noodles are homemade. Half size fried rice on the side. The menu offers ramen, tsukemen, cha-han, rice and beer.

Opened as a norenwake from Maruchō in Sakado, this branch in Miyahara is the longest running store in all of Saitama City (including Ōmiya) to be serving tsukemen. 20 seats. Open for lunch only, 11am-2:30pm.... More

Recommended bowl: Classic Tokyo taste

A local shop with a local, nostalgic vibe, only open 11am-2pm. The old-school Tokyo Maruchō style shoyu soup is pork based, slightly sweet, slightly spicy and slightly sour. Semi flat tsukemen noodles are house-made and boiled ahead of time to allow for quicker service.
