Mexican Fare @donjuliomexicankitchen

When you arrive the restaurant has a great vibe and it yells Mexican.

At a glance the menu also yells Mexican, but once you dive in the pretty extensive menu, it becomes clear there are other influences.
It was a little of a disconnect from the “Hecho en Mexico” logo all over the place.

With that being said the food was good!

Some items better than others, but overall good.

The Birria Empanadas were definitely my favorite!

I could come back and just eat 10 of these and be happy.

JUN is one of my go-to spots for consistently great Chinese food. They have a nice variety of different handmade dumplings 🥟 (the shrimp shumai /pork are my fav!), dim sum, appetizer shareables, rice, noodle, and chicken/beef/pork/shrimp/duck entree style dishes! I love the Farmer’s chicken, Crispy beef, and Walnut shrimp! 🍤 Also, they have great cocktails and the space is inviting, modern, & cozy! 😍😍

I stopped by for media night and tried a little bit of everything:
🍣 Tuna & caviar cones
🔥 Murakami Roll (with a crab butter candle that melts into the roll!)
🐟 Chilean sea bass
🍗 Haii Keii chicken
🥩 “Around the World” Wagyu steak tasting
🍸 Ube espresso martini (get it half sweet)

Everything is shareable and made for vibey nights out. Flavors are very bold, drinks tend to be on the sweet side, but the vibes are a 10/10 — perfect for a date night, girls night, or a creative happy hour (Monday–Friday, 5–6:30pm).

This is where the boundaries of cuisine and imagination blur, and we’re here for it.

One roof, two doors for pizza and sake on night 1 of the slaycation (as we’re clearly calling it now).

Right off the ferry at Algiers Point, @nighthawknapoletana for char-edged pies from the wood-burning oven and inexpensive wine on a busy Friday pizza night.

And there, a door that looks like it might open to a closet instead reveals @propersake_ricevice .

Party buses are bigger than this 18-seat bar, lined with wood panels, feeling like a stereo speaker ad torn from a vintage Playboy magazine.

It would lure sake aficionados anywhere it was found. Here in Algiers Point, it’s a worthy inspiration for a ferry ride all on its own.

Start with a tasting flight, an excellent value for the quality.

My favorite was the sizzle bird burger, it was soo good that i had to get it packed for my family.
