Shinka first opened in 2007, in the Tokyo suburb of Machida. It soon became known as a premier destination for Shio ramen, and remains famous to this day. The original flagship location is still open, and since 2014, a second branch closer to Machida Station opened (moving to a new location in March of 2020).
