Before it was called Katsuya, this shop was known as Umegaoka Taishōken, with direct connections to the world famous shop of the same name in Eifukucho. But circa 2006 the original master decided to move shop to Akishima in the deep western outskirts of Tokyo, leaving behind his disciple to take over.
