I received information about a delicious restaurant from a certain source and decided to visit. The entrance was a bit hard to find, which caused some confusion. Inside, the restaurant has a luxurious decor with casual elements, creating a comfortable atmosphere (there is a simple dress code). I learned that the chef operates solo. Inside, the restaurant has a luxurious decor with casual elements, creating a comfortable atmosphere (there is a simple dress code). I learned that the chef operates solo. Since it was just before a holiday, there was only one other group in the restaurant. Now, onto the main topic: the food. Each dish was meticulously prepared and delicious. The presentation and the tableware were also impressive, showcasing a truly high-class experience. Among the dishes, the croissant stood out! I can confidently say it is the best croissant in the world. It seems this place is famous for its croissants, and I doubt I will ever encounter one of this quality again—it's simply outstanding. Of course, the appetizers, soup, fish, and meat dishes were all top-notch as well. The wine selection was also excellent, and the tableware was of high quality.Everything was impeccable.I thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite flavors. By the way, the chef's conversational skills were also impressive, making the experience even more enjoyable.Atmosphere: 4.0Cleanliness: 4.0Food: 5.0Service: 4.5 Less
I visited Restaurant La FinS in Shimbashi. While the quality of the dishes was impressive, what stood out to me personally was the wine pairing. The chef also serves as the sommelier, which is a rare style, and since the person preparing the dishes is also selecting the wines, the pairings for each plate were exceptional. Moreover, the explanations about the wines were fascinating. Not only did he discuss the region and the producer, but he also provided detailed insights into the background of the wine... It felt like the course was designed to be enjoyed as a complete experience with both the food and wine.I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves both food and wine. Less
The owner and chef is Keizo Sugimoto. He went to France at the age of 19 and worked as a chef in various regions, including Alsace. He returned to Japan in 2012 and opened this restaurant. I didn't think I would be able to come here until the last minute, but due to certain circumstances, I was able to make it.Every dish, including the wine pairing, was exceptional. Even the classic bread, resembling a croissant, was in a league of its own.
