Yakitori (Grilled chicken skewers)
Foodle Reviews
Reservation only. This is one of my favorite places to visit when I go to Hokkaido. The skewers, carefully grilled one by one over charcoal, are simply outstanding!!Everything is delicious!!They offer a reasonable omakase course at the counter, making it the best place!
This is a popular yakitori restaurant in Susukino, Sapporo, known for its hard-to-get reservations.Be sure to come without wearing any perfume. The courses start at 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM, and there is only one type of omakase course available. The restaurant excels in its perfect balance of saltiness, grilling technique, and serving speed—there's nothing to complain about. On average, you can enjoy over 10 skewers of yakitori along with seasonal items, and for the finale, you can choose the amount of... 【Recommended Restaurant★】It’s been a while since my last visit to Yakitori Higebozu. Thanks to a foodie friend who made a reservation, this was my first time back since they started using Takasaka chicken.I tried the chicken breast and thigh, and it was clear that the quality of the chicken has improved significantly. Coupled with the already delicious vegetable skewers from Yoichi, the overall experience was elevated. The grilling was excellent, and I look forward to visiting again in a different season.I can’t wait for my next visit!==================================〈*Reposting the following*〉Located about a 5-minute walk from Susukino Station on the Namboku Line, this yakitori restaurant has been selected as a Tabelog BRONZE 2025 & 2026 and one of Tabelog's Top 100 Restaurants from 2023 to 2025.The charming owner, Mr. Murakami, who has a dandy style, was formerly a banker. His serious demeanor while grilling left a strong impression. The restaurant operates on a reservation-only basis, starting at either 18:30 or 19:30, with a minimum of two guests required. Since the two-person minimum was a bit challenging, I had to persuade the owner of a certain izakaya to join me for this visit. The course includes 12 skewers? plus soba and mushroom skewers for JPY 7,700 (tax included) for a single experience. Wine is available only by the bottle, so I opted for beer and Japanese sake by the glass.(*Currently, the course using Takasaka chicken is JPY 13,200, tax included*)The heart, neck meat, and white liver were grilled to perfection, followed by a beautifully sweet red eggplant skewer. The subsequent skewers of asparagus and the spicy green chili tsukune were also outstanding, showcasing the deliciousness of the vegetable skewers. If I have the chance again, I would love to visit. I’m looking forward to my next experience!==================================【Course at JPY 13,200 (tax included)】1. Chicken Breast2. Chicken Thigh3. Snap Peas4. Liver5. This was my first visit.I finally managed to make a reservation and go, haha!I got in touch through a cancellation post on Instagram and secured a spot! The white liver was exquisite!!!It might be the best in Sapporo city?If the interior were a bit larger, it could be even better overall, in my personal opinion! The flavors were delicious.I feel like the soba could be a bit thinner to match better?!Next time, I’ll enjoy pairing it with wine!
I came to this restaurant craving delicious yakitori. While I usually enjoy the chef's omakase, I've been eating less lately. However, I managed to secure a reservation that’s hard to come by!I quenched my thirst with a draft beer while waiting. The yakitori was perfectly grilled, crispy on the outside and fragrant! The vegetable skewers were cooked through but still juicy inside!I enjoyed my meal while sipping white wine, so I only took a photo of the restaurant's exterior. There are many great... More

This place lived up to its reputation and was absolutely delicious!I’ll definitely come back if I can get another reservation! Less
