Torisho Ishii Hina 鳥匠いし井ひな 1st visit — Tokyo branch of the renowned Torishi Ishii in Osaka. Some highlights were: irori grilled chicken wings; oversized chochin and chicken burger. Decent, though a bit overpriced, wine list. •

One of my favourite yakitori places. The chochin is godly, cooked to perfection and particularly satisfying when those globules explode in your mouth. On this occasion, the skewers were better than I remembered from the previous time.. juicier, hotter and bigger pieces. So good.

One of my favourites in Japan, the chochin is always the highlight and is ridiculously good. Juicy, flavourful and cooked perfectly.. one of my favourite chochins. The burger (not pictured) changes regularly and is a nice dish to have as an otsumami, andd more or less gives you a taste of the skewers to come. Love the atmosphere and service is always top notch.
