Awesome desserts at @kabawa!

Their famous Coconut Turnover for 2, a bread-loaf-sized Caribbean pastry filled with spiced, caramelized coconut and topped with thick cream cheese frosting.

Birthday Flan with caramel and sprinkles.

Coconut Sorbet served in its shell.

Avalanche of delicious mains at @kabawa along with my favorite Chuletas Can Can, a Puerto Rican-style peppery pork chop with ridiculously crispy skin

Also Delicious were the:
• Goat with spicy scallop creole
• Black Bass with curry
• “Jerk” Duck Sausage with poblano

And some accompaniments, including…rice!

The bread course at @kabawa - Flaky roti pretty much soaked in butter, served with a mix-and-match of Caribbean condiments on the side. Rich, messy and so good.

Quite literally the best Caribbean patties I’ve ever had can be found at @barkabawa. One fried, the other baked…both absolutely delicious!

* Pepperpot Duck & Foie Gras Patty — fried and flaky, with a rich filling of duck and foie gras inspired by Caribbean pepperpot.
* Geera Goat Patty — baked in flaky, buttery pastry with goat spiced with roasted cumin.

Vibrantly spiced and portioned for sharing, both the plantain starter and signature dessert... More
