One of my go to casual restaurants @levi_cph is an informal eatery set in the heart of Copenhagen serving Italian and Japanese flavors alongside harmoniously paired wines curated by founders Jesper Boelskifte and Peter Trauboth.

This is a great place to go any day but has the added bonus of being one of the cities only restaurants that opens on a Monday. Highly recommended

I generally don’t do written reviews because I find them boring, but here is one of @levi_cph so you can understand why its my favorite non Michelin starred restaurant in Copenhagen, and a recommendation to anyone either living in the city or visiting. Link below, here a short teaser.

The Food
Saving the best for last, because when you go to a restaurant, you go there for what’s on the plate. The kitchen is led by the Sicilian chef Gabriele Rizzo @gabrieleri1212 who has a background in the world’s best restaurant and also had his own shop, Haidan. And the food here is absurdly good, mixing Japanese flavors like shoyu, yuzu, ponzu and wasabi with his italian heritage, all dishes are booming with flavor and the presentation is elegant and restrained. Of course, he cannot be an Italian chef without serving pastas - and the pasta at Levi are the best I’ve ever had. My all time favorite is the rabbit ragout which is out of this world, but whether the king crab, langoustine or truffle ravioli - they are all booming with flavor and novel combinations with respect for traditions but desire for innovation based on the highest quality products. Oh, and the wagyu arrancini is maybe a top 3 bite in Copenhagen and the pistachio ice cream is nothing less than the world’s best. And to me, the food at Levi surpasses several of the Michelin starred restaurants in Copenhagen, but I guess that’s not a conversation we are having.
Go to Levi, leave a little drunk with a full belly and happy heart.

This might be Copenhagen’s best casual restaurant !
@levi_cph is my perfect casual restaurant, serving Italian-Japanese perfection with killer cocktails, an insane wine list, and small plates that taste like they should have stars.
Think toast with lardo & caviar, kingfish collar grilled on a yakiniku with XO sauce, wagyu arancini wrapped in A5 beef.
Behind it all: Chef @gabrieleri1212 , who sharpened his knives at 3-star Jordnær and brought that level of finesse to a... More

My Levi game plan? Sashimi of the day, oysters, a few wagyu arancini, a pasta, and the best pistachio gelato with olive oil you’ll ever eat. Trust me, this place works better than Viagra.
Even Copenhagen’s star chefs like Eric Vildgaard and Rasmus Munk come here when they’re off duty…

Lunches at @levi_cph last month in Copenhagen. So good we went back again the next day. A great addition to my ‘where do I eat on a Monday in Copenhagen’ list.
“an informal eatery set in the heart of Copenhagen serving Italian and Japanese flavors”. I promise it’s much better than that may sound 👌🏻
Definitely worth a visit if you have a free lunch slot.
