TRYING SHANGHAINESE CUISINE IN DENVER 🍜

📍 @fortunenongjiale is the sister spot to a staple of cherry creek @fortunewoktotable it’s a bit bigger in the Wash Park neighborhood with the same goal of bringing you straight to the streets of shanghai 👏

I even asked and they said they don’t consider themselves technically a chinese restaurant because they don’t include the vast flavors you’d find in different parts of China like szechuan instead it’s all intentional on bring homemade noodles, dumplings and big shared plates from shanghai specifically! 🙂‍↕️

WOULD YOU TRY A LEMON PIZZA? 🍋 🍕

📍 @levensupplyco is newest addition to the @levendelico family and while they serve the fan favorite deli classics that always draw a crowd, this spot added sourdough crust pizza and a unique topping to the table 👏

No matter what’s going onto of the pizza, the sourdough crust is killer for anyone that likes a thin crispy slice of za 😮‍💨

But instead of lemonade they’re making a white pie with slices of lemon and dollops of ricotta i mean its basically an express trip to the Amalfi coast but what really made me crave this pizza was adding they seasoning that sat on each table its a mix of parm, chili flakes and italian herbs which added that last bit of earthy saltiness to round out the sweet tartness the pie already had 🙂‍↕️

Oh and as a sodium FREAK the charcuterie nachos are always popping out at the party 🥵

STUFF A CROISSANT & GRAB THE REALISTIC FRUIT DESSERTS AT THIS NEW PATISSERIE 🥐 🍓

📍 @maison.shelby just landed in the Rosedale neighborhood near South Pearl St with tons to dive into from freshly made croissants ready to get F I L L E D to your liking and the realistic fruit desserts that no one can stop talking about 👏

The croissants pass the crunch test and then get an added pop of flavor from their rotating filling — the mango had a bright tartness that not every place is adding to the menu 🙌

But if you need a fruit basket, their realistic desserts will do the trick — raspberry always hits for me but the peach had a nice caramelized flavor oh and another crunch test passed 🫡

Expectations exceeded @manao_dubai .
All the Thai flavour profiles you expect harmonised across the menu . The backbone of which was coconut ,
presented in many forms and textures, and even used in the form of cooking vessel when made into coconut charcoal .

The meal starts with a number of excellent street food inspired snacks , and cutlery is essentially not required for the first half of your meal .

It dawned on me that I think I have had zero Thai food over the last 12 months , so the first bite of Miang - a charred cabbage roll filled with prawns , sour relish and a litany of herbs and acids was a reawakening . This was a summer roll on steroids .

Fermented rice custard with grilled lobster tail and coriander flowers - the texture of the custard is the crux of the dish , luxurious simplicity .
Poached Gillardeau Oyster was
Served with passion fruit nam jim and fried shallots - perhaps a little timid and this was the only dish where I craved more punch .

A Curry Puff hybrid which evoked memories of both pani puri or party pies depending on your upbringing . Filled with Grilled beef in a southern style curry and a nest of chives.

Sour Tomato Broth- used crab shells infused with tamarind and lime . Refreshingly sour .

Sticky Rice Roti was half pikelet , half taco and completely delicious . Topped with
Coconut-smoked short ribs, kaffir lime relish .
This was the dish of the night .

Grilled King Crab Shoulder ended the street snack portion of the meal , the meat beautifully sweet and paired with Fermented green chili nam jim and coriander stems

Alaskan king crab curry brought the heat ! A beautiful rich southern Thai curry with steamed rice cake and pickled spring onion .

Salad of young coconut meat, green mango and coriander flowers was a lovely palate reset , fresh and funky .

Southern style spicy lamb curry with spiced rice and morning glory topped with cured egg yolk . Generous and punchy main course

White Rose granita with wild ginger and longan is a lovely pre dessert and the meal is truly brought home with a cracking dessert -
