90 minutes outside of Kyoto, is @miyamasou2020, one of the most unique and special dining experiences to be had in Japan. The kaiseki meal contains lots of locally foraged wild herbs, wild flowers, animals and vegetables. They call it tsumikusa cuisine. Definitely worth a special journey.

Chrysanthemum jelly. Wasabi. Shoyu. White miso soup with acorn tofu

Peanut, fried horse chestnut, egg yolk marinated for 3 days in miso, persimmon stuffed with river fish, walnut, river shrimp, egg white with carp, fish wrapped in burdock leaves. Pretty unique dish and variety. Leaves/decoration all from local surroundings

Goichi (Higobashi branch) in Osaka @51chikichiki was brilliant from start to finish. A highly rated yakitori counter that serves every part of the chicken and a couple pieces of duck too. Everything perfectly timed and perfectly seasoned. The ingredient quality was super high and the balance of flavours was always spot on. Dove @i.feel.dove by @jackson_boxer serves a genuinely unique burger. It’s so rich that you’ll want to share one between two. The beef patty was barely cooked and completely fell apart. Combine that with the Gorgonzola cheese and onions cooked in champagne and it’s a thrilling flavour combo that many restaurants in London are not bold enough to attempt. They only make 10 each service so arrive early to avoid disappointment. The fried potato pizzette with bonito, burata and mortadella is the other must order dish here. The ricotta dumplings were skippable and nothing special. Pork chop was very nice and the chips, like Orasay, were great. The iberiko tomatoes were also meh and skippable. Fior di latte soft serve with oat cookies combined well together. Dim Sum and Duck @dimsumandduck is still going strong, managing to maintain the same quality as to when it first opened years ago. They now take your order in the queue so you can eat shortly after sitting down. The kaleh pacheh (lamb head and feet) at Iranian restaurant @ashpazbashi_london is a revelation. The best of its kind in London. The meat is 👌🏽👌🏽👍🏽👍🏽👌🏽👌🏽👍🏽👍🏽.
