Old school Tokyo style shoyu ramen contains a soup made from pork bones, chicken carcasses and aromatic vegetables including ginger. Medium-thin curly noodles are special ordered. Topped with pork loin chashu, bamboo shoots, nori seaweed, negi and bean sprouts. Fried gyoza on the side.

Menmaru is an old school style Tokyo ramen shop, with both counter and table seating. Standard ramen costs just 380 yen. When there are festivals or events in Asakusa, the shop removes all chairs and converts to standing-only in order to ensure high turnover. Seven counter seats with more tables outside.
