Utilized the restaurant on the evening of Saturday, August 29, 2026 (reservation made).☀️ Weather: ☀️ Sunny Waiting time: Fully booked Payment: Cash only This was my multiple visit to the restaurant. Once again, I was thoroughly satisfied with the omakase course. Each time, it offers a rich two-hour experience filled with surprises and delights. The comparison of sea urchin was astonishing—who knew the flavor could vary so much based on origin and type? I’m always amazed by the... More

I visited for the evening course. In a calm atmosphere, I enjoyed wonderful sushi and appetizers that reflect the chef's dedication. The sea urchin (uni), tuna, and eel nigiri were particularly impressive, with a perfect balance of freshness and rice that melted in my mouth. The presentation and dishware were beautiful, allowing me to enjoy an exceptional experience for all my senses. The service was attentive and made for a comfortable environment, making this a restaurant I would love to visit again... It seems that this restaurant, which opened just two years ago without any prior training, has already earned two Michelin stars... truly remarkable. The location in the quiet, upscale neighborhood of Kurakuen is also a plus. This time, I opted for the evening Omakase course, which included eight appetizers and twelve pieces of sushi, offering a generous amount of food. All of these dishes were prepared by the chef working solo. Each action taken by the chef was incredibly meticulous. There were no flashy... I had been wanting to visit this sushi restaurant for a while.Every dish, from the appetizers to the nigiri, was delicious! ✨The Japanese sake paired perfectly.I tried the sweetfish pâté for the first time, and it was so fresh! It really complemented the drinks.I was also thrilled to enjoy two types of sea urchin. This is definitely a sushi place I want to visit again. It was a great meal! ♡

I visited Sushi Matsumoto, a Michelin-starred restaurant located in Kurakuen, Nishinomiya, which has also been selected as one of Tabelog's top 100 restaurants.I had been there three times before, but this was my first visit in several years. I was excited to see how my previous impressions would change. The meal consisted of 10 dishes, starting with Junzai and Bafun Uni, followed by a bowl of Murazaki Uni and Yura's red uni. I was thrilled to taste this year's first seasonal red uni, although it... More

If you find yourself in Hyogo, be sure to visit this sushi restaurant! You can enjoy exquisite sushi prepared right in front of you. They offer seasonal fish, and the seasoning is just right with the perfect amount of soy sauce. I highly recommend it to everyone. Although the seating is limited, the space feels spacious and comfortable.

I was finally able to make a reservation and returned for another visit. The meal started promptly at 7:30 PM, with dish after dish being served, beginning with junsai (water shield) and sea urchin. The summer grouper was a first for me, and it was delicious. The finely chopped squid had an indescribable texture that was delightful. I found myself enjoying the Japanese sake more than I intended. We finished off with a dish of egg, and once again, I left completely satisfied.

I visit every three months for seasonal reservations.Since it's summer, we had the grouper served with summer squash.I didn't realize grouper sashimi could be so flavorful! The summer squash was crunchy. The sweetfish mousse on a baguette paired perfectly with the drinks. The nigiri in the second half melted in my mouth.I really love the marinated tuna here.Everything is delicious, though!Today's soup was a clear broth with sweet sea bream. It tasted like a rich consomme. The kohada (gizzard shad) had... My first visit was just five minutes before opening on a Sunday afternoon. The location is about a 7-8 minute walk from Hankyu Railway Kurakuen-guchi West Exit. After exiting the station, head west along Kurakuen-guchi Street for about 500 meters, then turn right at the second traffic light. The restaurant is on the left at the corner, just 20 meters ahead.Upon arrival, I followed two customers entering the restaurant. Inside, there were already seven guests enjoying their drinks. The entrance didn’t... More

About a 10-minute walk from Hankyu Kurakuen-guchi Station. This was my first visit, and I was immediately impressed by the beautiful entrance and the calm, dignified atmosphere. As I entered, I could smell the fragrance of insect-repellent incense.I started off by refreshing my palate with a beer from Ebisu. For appetizers:- Junzai (sea snail) with yuzu broth- Dashi with Akashi Aki and cucumber- Horse manure from Hokkaido with double mini sea urchin rice bowl- Steamed bonito- Rare grilled sweetfish-... The food was very delicious. The chef had a friendly demeanor that made a good impression. However, from my perspective regarding my budget,I felt that the atmosphere, cleanliness, and service could use a bit more of a "special touch."As a result, this place won't make it onto my list for repeat visits.I will continue my search for a sushi restaurant that is accessible by taxi from my home, with great taste and reasonable prices for regular dining.

As always, the food was incredibly delicious. The sakura shrimp, sea urchin, classic mochi, and kinmedai (golden eye snapper) with negitoro (minced tuna with green onion) were particularly outstanding. I enjoyed a rare Niigata sake called "Higan," which is not widely available. It was fruity, refreshing, and perfect as a starter. Overall, the course was very filling, so by the end, I was quite full. I would have preferred a light dessert or fruit instead of egg to finish off the meal.

This restaurant is even featured in the Michelin Guide.Every visit is truly a series of delightful surprises. This time, my favorites were the sea bream and the bachi-ko.The bachi-ko is enjoyed sandwiched between mochi and nori.I also loved being able to compare two types of uni.The sushi rice has the perfect softness, just on the verge of falling apart.Once again, I left feeling completely satisfied!
