"Harmony: sea sips". Oysters and Champagne, a classic pairing reinvented. Familiar/Unfamiliar, again. What better way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Mugaritz this year. I'll drink to that.

People told me that Mugaritz would be a love it or hate it experience. I fall firmly in the first camp. Exceptional meal, from start to finish. The setting is almost painfully picturesque—I wish you could smell the woods and hear the birdsong that was our music. The dishes were focused, delicious, and sometimes challenging. It is again a phenomenal mind twister and this unique dining lab and some may think is too much and annoying with bite size dishes, for me I love the challenge, new ideas on flavors and texture all the way

A highly anticipated visit to a world-renowned 2 Michelin starred restaurant, 2o minutes drive out of San Sebastian. This restaurant has, for many years, been an beacon of modern cooking. The 25 course, no choice, tasting menu only worked out at £233 per person including pre-drinks and good wine which is quite steep, but not as steep as it can be in other cities in Europe (notably Paris).
