Takayoshi Yamaguchi san restaurant is generally listed as a sushi restaurant. I think this classification is wrong as he now clearly has established himself in his own category.

Yarn changed the policy and does not allow any photos. You are not even allowed to take out your phone.
The menu has evolved from my first few times there. The Chef has a great humor as it plays word games on the menu to figure out what you will get.
It is excellent Japanese fusion food, with some but not many Western influences.

Unbelievable yakiniku. Catering mostly to students it is a one man shop whereas the Chef styles himself as very grumpy. But once you get beyond these first rough edges he is a very genuine, even humorous guy.
The food is great, the beef well sourced and the prices excellent.
