It’s a real shame to hear that The Den/Azabu in Tribeca is closing. One of the city’s best IMO. I wrote more details on reasons and other stuff on the blog this morning. Link in profile.

Azabu in Tribeca is quickly becoming NYCs version of sushi park. Celebrity sightings are regular. The key difference? the sushi is actually good. Not just downstairs at the den, a wonderful omakase counter I’ve reviewed before, but upstairs in the back room, best described as “tranquil” (I used thesaurus for that one). This is part of the $65 lunch set, pricy sure, but also falls under the “you get what you pay for”. One of my midday favourites. Review to come. Ps welcome to buri season... More
