The whole chicken is beautifully roasted so that the skin is crispy and the meat perfectly juicy and tender. It easily serves 2-3 people and is paired with riz au pilaf to soak up the sauce. The vin jaune sauce is special. Pure magic in that Dutch oven dish. The most hearty, rich, flavourful and addictive chicken sauce, consisting mainly of shallots, chicken stock, morels, Vin Jaune white wine and plenty of butter. Just the right consistency, not too thick, not too thin. So tasty and moreish. Very comforting. The chicken, rice and sauce all work together so well. The wine list here is great so make sure you have a look - I went for a really lovely Chablis from Domain Elini & Edouard, worked so nicely with this plate. Always a lovely meal! Their chicken liver parfait choux buns are the best in the game too. #notoriousfoodie ๐
