Splendid evening yesterday downtown at @lacavecharleston, the “sipping lounge” sibling of @felixcharleston. Forget fat-washed cocktails (so 2023!) Cheese-washing (or fromage-washing, in this case) is the new thing, and the Martini de Luxe doubles down with several French cheese plus a delightful caviar-topped cheese crisp on the side.
Oysters, deviled eggs (also caviar-topped), and a mini raclette burger the perfect prelude to an out-of-the-world duck confit gnocchi (think chicken & dumplings but with duck, gnocchi, and halved figs in creamy béchamel).
