Time for some R&R at the River Retreat Garaku in Toyama. This ryokan is situated on the Jinzu ("Path of the Gods") River in the forested foothills of the Northern Japan Alps. There are a total of 25 suites here, each with a different decor, large common spaces, multiple onsen and aromatherapy facilities. And best of all, one of the highest rated French-Japanese restaurants in the country (L'Evo) is located onsite.
