another bistro ticked off the list to visit. famously expensive, limited menu but very large portions. known for typical parisian bistro classics, and they indeed do them well.

started with their escargots and foie, definitely one of the more memorable renditions of escargot i’ve had, very plump and fresh snails with a mellow garlic butter. the extremely generous slabs of foie was also very tasty with their freshly toasted warm baguettes, but seriously too much... More

started with their escargots and foie, definitely one of the more memorable renditions of escargot i’ve had, very plump and fresh snails with a mellow garlic butter. the extremely generous slabs of foie was also very tasty with their freshly toasted warm baguettes, but seriously too much even for even a table of 4.

for mains we opted for their roast chicken and quail, nicely juicy, rich ‘chicken flavour’ of the chicken but got bored after several bites. personally preferred the pigeon, it was more uniformly cooked and so much more flavourful. had to get a side of their famous mountain or skinny fries, nicely seasoned but expected it to be crispier. very solid and hearty bistro, average service and definitely pricey. a solid spot to go for to satisfy such cravings but not sure if i would come back.
