Ramen at Iicho (いいちょ )

Recommended bowl: Authentic Kyoto

This neighborhood shop serves traditional Kyoto-style ramen made with approximately 70% chicken stock and 30% tonkotsu, topped with pork fat. The fried rice combo is highly recommended, and the master is alway in the mood for a friendly chat. There are some old school shops that are more famous, but Iicho is loved by locals and has a strong following.
