Hotel Maria Cristina, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Sebastian San Sebastian

The first team I met in the kitchen of Maria Cristina at #OAD2019 Top100+ European Restaurants List Award event was @disfrutarbcn from Barcelona. They need no introduction as Disfrutar has been regarded as one of the best progressive Spanish restaurant in the world and Chef Oriol and Eduard (pic 2) were simply the most fabulous chefs. They won the Best New Restaurant Award in OAD 2016 and they continue to innovate and elevate their cuisine. My most recent visits were in Oct 2018 and Feb 2019, ended up with over 70 courses together in the two meals, and they were ALL DELICIOUS! Imagine that! 70 delicious courses! Certainly not easy but they made both meals extraordinary.

Their work is intricate and uber detail oriented, intriguing and interesting. The bottom line, great flavors and enlightening textures without compromise. Compare to when I first visited them 3 days after they opened, they are now at a much higher level. They are just doing such amazing job and it is my favorite restaurant in Barcelona ?
