Recommended bowl: Ramen Jiro roots

This unsuspecting shop in Daikanyama is run by a master who used to be the owner of Ramen Jiro in Musashi Kosugi. The bowls here are standard Jiro style, with a salty shoyu-tonkotsu soup and thick-cut noodles that are made in-house on an old-school noodle machine. Options for fresh garlic, sometimes limited bowls like shio, also available. The name is a play on words, as the numbers 526 sound a bit like 'Kojiro.’ About five branches total in Japan, open since 2011.
