After an astounding lunch at DiverXO my
lovely group of dining enthusiasts took an evening flight from Madrid to San Sebastián and we all checked into our hotels. Day 3 of the tour began for some with breakfast pintxos in the old town followed by late morning negronis (this became a bit of a ritual throughout the tour as I absolutely encourage such behaviour 🙂). We were then picked up by our private drivers and taken to our next meal which was just up the coast in the fishing village of Getaria. @elkano_jatetxea Elkano is legendary for its grilled turbot and we were in for a treat. It’s always great service and food at Elkano but I have to say that this visit it seemed to be on another level. The entire menu was fantastic and the turbot of course was superb. We also opted to try their beef chop in order to compare with the ones that we would be having at Ibai, Txispa and Etxebarri. It certainly held its own against the others. I can’t wait to visit again next year
