Hello there!Located in Katata, Shiga Prefecture, Jidoriya Onza is a fantastic restaurant that serves top-quality jidori chicken, sourced from a nearby poultry farm that supplies various yakitori and ramen shops across the country. The counter offers a creative course featuring this chicken, but it's extremely popular, making reservations quite difficult. This time, I enjoyed sashimi, yakitori, and a water shield hot pot. The yakitori made from Omi jidori chicken had a beautiful fat content and a strong umami flavor, making it delicious. The hot pot featured Nagoya Cochin chicken, which had a nice texture and also packed with flavor. The vegetables soaked in a soy-based broth made from chicken cartilage were exceptional, with the chicken's umami and fat enriching the soup.
