Opened in 1983, Matsumaru's current master, Kobayashi-san, is the second-generation proprietor, having taken over from his father several years back. His family also runs a meat shop next door. The soup here is made with chicken, pork, and many kinds of vegetables. Uncommon cuts of pork are used for the chashu that comes served in the tokusei matsumaru ramen.
