Recommended bowl: Since 1983
Opened in 1983, Matsumaru's current master, Kobayashi-san, is the second-generation proprietor, having taken over from his father several years back. His family also runs a meat shop next door. The soup here is made with chicken, pork, and many kinds of vegetables. Uncommon cuts of pork are used for the chashu that comes served in the tokusei matsumaru ramen. This shop has many regulars who come for lunch on the weekends, usually ordering gyoza and beers with their bowl. This is old school Tokyo-shoyu style ramen.
