Our final stop on the tour took us into Slovenia and the breathtaking Soča Valley for dinner at Hiša Franko @hisafranko — the perfect way to bring an unforgettable journey to a close.
We started the evening with cocktails on the terrace, taking in the spectacular views down the valley as the sun began to dip behind the mountains. It’s hard to imagine a more relaxing setting before sitting down for dinner.
The meal itself was excellent, showcasing the creativity and sense of place that have made Hiša Franko one of Europe’s most celebrated restaurants. Every course reflected the surrounding landscape, with beautifully judged flavours and a kitchen that has helped put this corner of Slovenia firmly on the global culinary map.
Rather than rushing away, we stayed overnight, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the experience before waking to one of the finest hotel breakfasts you’ll find anywhere. The peaceful surroundings, warm hospitality and exceptional food made it the perfect finale to another incredible Achefabroad tour.
