Fortunately, I was blessed with a wonderful opportunity to visit for the first time.As I stepped through the noren curtain, I was greeted by a stylish and serene Japanese space that radiated a deep sense of history.Here, you can experience "real duck," which completely overturns the common perceptions of duck dishes. The beautifully arranged meat on the plate shines with a stunning deep red hue, and its juiciness and quality are immediately evident, setting it apart from anything else.According to the owner, "Duck pairs perfectly with red wine." Following this elegant advice, I brought along a special red wine (Kenzō Estate's Murasaki) to ensure a sublime pairing.As the meal commenced, the warm and friendly owner, along with the veteran staff who worked in perfect harmony, created a wonderful atmosphere.The duck dishes, expertly grilled right before my eyes, were perfectly crispy on the outside and astonishingly juicy on the inside. The moment I took a bite, a rich, wild umami burst forth, perfectly harmonizing with the deep tannins and floral notes of the red wine, creating an explosion of flavor that thrilled my senses. The dish garnished with white leeks highlighted the gentle, refined broth and the duck's potential, making it impossible to put down my chopsticks.To conclude, I enjoyed a finishing rice dish, and the meal wrapped up with refreshing large melon and cherries, enveloping me in bliss.This was not merely a delicious meal; it was an artistic experience of grilling that tantalized all my senses.
