I finally visited the hotel Chinese restaurant I had wanted to try for a long time. Although it seemed like there were relatively few reservations available, upon arrival, it was almost fully booked. The staff at the reception were quite cool rather than smiling. I was seated by the window, enjoying the view during dinner. However, it became quite dark towards the end of the meal, making it difficult to take photos. It felt like there were many international guests and older couples, likely due to the location.I chose the least expensive course since it was my first time, and the pairing options for 4 and 5 glasses were almost the same price, so I opted for the latter. The pricing for alcohol was quite aggressive, especially for Shaoxing wine, which is not particularly expensive to produce. The pairing was initially going to include Shaoxing wine, but I requested wine instead. It started with Louis Roederer, followed by some nice selections from Tuscany, including both white and red wines, as well as Au Bon Climat. The dishes included chawanmushi (savory egg custard), soup, and spare ribs, all of which were delicious. The dessert available for an additional charge did not leave a strong impression.Highlights:◯ Chinese Cabbage Soup ◯ Large Prawns with Mango Mayonnaise ◎ Goldfish Scooping - Egg White Chawanmushi with King Crab ◯ Steamed Okinawan White Coral Fish with Leeks and Ginger ◯ Stuffed Pigeon Wings from Guangzhou ◎ Steamed Soup with Yellow Mushrooms, Elm Mushrooms, Kinugasa Mushrooms, White Wood Ear Mushrooms, and Korean Ginseng from Kagawa ◯ Simmered Live Ezo Abalone with Yamato Chicken in Oyster Sauce, Stuffed Winter Melon ◯ Simmered Shintori Greens in Chinese Cabbage Soup ◎ Roasted Peking Duck with Hong Kong-style Noodles and Kujo Leeks ◯ Almond Tofu from Now and Then Almond Tofu with Lotus Seeds in Almond Tea ◯ Sweet Soup of Buddha Jumping Over the Wall Papaya, Bird's Nest, Snow Frog, Snow Lotus Seeds, Snow Ear, and Turtle Jelly in Oriental Fruit Sweet Soup.
