ATL BBQ swing underway. First up: a relative newcomer (2 year anniversary approaching), @_genesgenesgenes_, and it’s a delight.
To get things rolling, an Old Fashioned variation with bourbon, apple brandy, and a kiss of Edelkirsch (cherry liqueur) plus a tray of bang-up Cajun butter roasted oysters. Lean brisket and a quarter chicken topped with kicked-up Alabama white sauce hits the spot along with a cool, tasty beet, arugula, and citrus salad finished with labneh (yes, beets, arugula, and labneh at a BBQ joint!) and collards laced with Steen’s and Crystal sauce and dusted with crushed peanuts. Charlie went with a hefty pulled pork sandwich and side of creamy Mac ’n cheese and gave it his seal of approval.
That's a hot pink Primitive Pits offset outback, BTW.
